Mr A. S. Marshall, of the Masterton Railway staff, will leave for Trentham Military Camp tomorrow. Mr T. Jordan, Mayor of Masterton. left .for Wellington yesterday to attend the annual conference of the Municipal Association, of which he is chairman. At a meeting of the Wairarapa Grain, Seed and Produce Association held in Masterton last evening, Mr R. G. Hills was unanimously appointed secretary.
1 Appointments to teaching positions in its district have been made by the Wellington Education Board as follows: Miss L. A. Crosbie, sole teacher Awatoitoi; Mr F. ,T. Kilkelly, sole teacher, Ngahape; Mr J. L. Williams, assistant, Masterton Central, from Hawke's Bay; Mr A. B. Fordyce, headmaster Eketahuna District High School, from Tuakau, Auckland; Miss K. M. Farrell, assistant, Mangamarie, from the relieving staff: Miss E. M. McCartie, infant mistress’. Mangatainoka, from Wanganui; Mr V/. G. Cuthbert, headmaster. Hukanui, from Dyerville.
