PRAYER FOR PEACE

The Pope, in a short address after the celebration of Mass at St Peters, pleaded for Jesus to calm the tempests and so to enlighten the minds of the rulers that they will lay down their arms and live a new life of faith and goodwill. His Holiness concluded with the prayer: "God. bring Christian peace to the world."
