FEBRUARY, 1940. Mr 11. M. Boddinglon reports that rain was measured on 12 days in February, maximum fall being 49 points on the 25th, minimum 2 points on the 9th, 14th and 18th; total for month, 1.63 inches, as against .56 (1939), 4.95 (1938), 3.05 (1937), 9.79 (1936), 3.85 (1935); average for 37 years, 2.91 inches. The total rainfall for the two months was 3.99 inches, as compared with 1.14 (1939), 9.62 (1938), 7.42 (1937), 14.36 (1936), 4.60 (1935); average for 37 years, 5.50 inches.
