WELLINGTON PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS WELLINGTON RETAIN McVILLY SHIELD. W. A. C. PULLAR WINS MILE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. The large attendance at the Wellington provincial athletic championships at the Basin Reserve, Wellington, on Saturday, showed that, given a good standard of competition, fine weather and a suitable ground, there is still strong public support for athletics.
