SOVIET ACCUSED

The Finnish Minister to Switzerland on Thursday handed to the Secretariat of the League of Nations a copy of a Note sent to world capitals protesting against illegal Soviet methods of warfare. The Soviet is accused of violating the neutrality of the Aaland Islands, which dominate the Gulf of Bothnia. In Stockholm today an appeal was issued to intellectual leaders in the United States to give assistance to Finland soon, and by every means possible. A strong speech in support of Finland was made by Admiral of the Fleet Sir Roger Keyes. “1 think it can be said without a shadow of doubt,” he Said, “that British assistance to Finland will eventually be sound and effective.”
