FATAL INJURIES

MOTOR CYCLIST COLLIDES WITH LORRY, COMPANION BADLY INJURED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. DUNEDIN, February 29. A motor accident near Balclutha last night resulted in the death of Frederick Thomas Louden Agnew, aged 18, and injury to James Agnew Shanks, aged 14. who were proceeding on a motor-cycle to Balclutha. They collided on a narrow bridge with a lorry, the driver of which had pulled up on seeing their approach. Agnew died shortly after admission to the Balclutha Hospital. Shanks is in a serious condition. CYCLIST’S DEATH. VICTIM KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR. Knocked down by a motor-car on the Main South Road at Upper Riccai’ton on Wednesday night. George William Morrison, aged 75 years, received injuries from which he died in hospital today. Mr Morrison was riding a bicycle which came into collision with lhe car.
