THESE ARE WORTH NOTING. A good cure for burns: Take a raw potato, scrape on a fine scraper, mix with olive oil, place on burn. It will give instant relief. Have you tried cutting French beans with scissors? It is an excellent idea. When a corkscrew is mislaid hold a screw in pliers or pincers, or use a screwdriver, work the screw well into the cork, attach a piece of strong string and pull! Remove bad stains such as mud. paint, and black grease before putting the clothes in the wash. Wet the stains with alcohol (even whisky!), camphor, or by pouring a stream of hot water through them. A stain once set by suds is a problem.
