WANGAEHU
BIRTHDAY PARTY mr d. McGregor entertained. ("Times-Age" Special.) There was a large gathering at the Wangaehu School last night, when residents gathered to tender Mi' Dun can McGregor a party in honour of his twenty-first birthday. The room was gaily decorated by the young men oi the district with flowers, greenery and streamers. Dancing was enjoyed tc music provided by Mr A. Barnes. During the evening opportunity was taken by Mr J. M. James to wish the guest of the evening many happy returns on behalf of those present, Mr James referring in glowing terms to the fine qualities of Mr McGregor. On behalf of the Masterton Young Farmers' Club Mr G. Blatchford endorsed Mr James's remarks.
Mr McGregor returned thanks and expressed the wish that those present would be able to attend his ninety-first birthday. Messrs M. Daniell and A. Saunders were efficient M.’sC.
Supper was- served by the ladies, the singing of "Auld Lang Syne” bringing the gathering to a close
