PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE REPRESENTATIVES APPOINTED. ("Times-Age" Special.) A representative meeting of Mauriceville West residents was held on Monday' night to arrange for representation on the district Patriotic Committee. Mr W. H. Bird presided. | Messrs Bird, A, Forsberg and H. Mortensen were appointed to represent | Mauriceville West on the district Patriotic Committee, Mr Bird being elected chairman and Mr Forsberg secretary. Mr D. Johansen was appointed to canvass the district for donations to the emergency fund. The committee appointed is to make arrangements for the farewelling of soldiers proceeding overseas. The following were appointed a local committee: Messrs J. and G. Osborne, G. Nielsen, M. J. Nielsen. C. Johansen. O. Nikolaison. J. E. Me-' Keown and D. Johansen. GARDEN CIRCLE ARRANGEMENTS FOR SHOW. Miss G. Heckler presided over a well-attended meeting of the Mauriceville District Gardening Circle held last Saturday afternoon. Arrangements were completed for the annual flower show to be held in the Mauriceville Hall on Saturday. March 9. A special effort is to be made to make this show more successful than any previous shows. Anyone who has not yet received a schedule is asked to ‘ communicate with the secretary, Mr H. C. Mortensen.
