CROQUET HAUNUI CLUB GAMES. (“Times-Age” Special.) The following are the results of games played on Monday by members of the Haunui Croquet Club: — Association gold buttons: Mrs Barry and Miss Esme Card defeated Mrs Saunders and Miss Lyford, 26/14. A championship: Mrs Hankers defeated Mrs. Carlyon, 23/26, 26/24, 26/14. Final for the cup. B championship: Mrs Card defeated Mrs White. 26/13. 26/16. Riddilord Cup (Tuesday's play): Mrs Barry beat Miss Nix, 26/23, 26/23. Personal. Seaman Boy Allan Roper, of H.M.S. Leander, is home on leave for a lew days. Mrs P. Bennett, New Plymouth, is the guest of Mrs Chas. Elgar, "Fernside.” Mrs Eccles, Wellington, is visiting Mrs L. McKenna, Pahautea. Miss B. Sullivan, Levin, who has been visiting Mrs Sullivan, has l£ft for Christchurch. On Saturday evening Mr and Mrs Max Wilson, who until recently had been on Mr J. Carne Bidwill s estate, were presented with a silver cake dish and fountain pen from fellow employees of the estate. Mr Wilson has taken over a farm in Kahautara. The evening was spent in games and community singing.
