GREYTOWN

MOROA WATER RACE MEETING OF COMMITTEE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Moroa Water Race Committee was held a; Greytown yesterday afternoon. There were present: Messrs J. G. Donald, R. Donald, D. A. Ingley, W. Sadler and R. E. Williams. An apology for absence was received from the chairman, Mr J. Stringfellow. Mr J. G. Donald occupied the chair. Accounts passed amounted to £39 13s. Mr J. G. Doanld submitted a plan of the proposed alterations to the water race on his property and the Tocker Estate. The plan was adopted and is to be forwarded to the Featherston County. An application is to be forwarded to the county for a new culvert across Dunning’s Line. Three notices are to be sent to property owners to clean water races. State Houses. The first tenant of the Greytown block of State houses moved in on Saturday. It is expected that the remaining houses will be completed in a couple of weeks’ time. Golf. The Greytown Golf Club intends to commence the coming season about Easter time. The annual meeting takes place this evening.
