The Chamber of Deputies passed a vote of confidence in the Government by 450 votes to 1 at the conclusion of the Censorship debate. M. Daladier announced that he had ordered the Chief Censor henceforth to allow the Press entire freedom of political opinion. The censorship would be confined to national defence and foreign policy. M. Daladier gave an assurance that improvements in the censorship were being' carried out where practicable.
