SHORTAGE RUMOURS DENIED BY MR MORGENTHAU. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. WASHINGTON, February 26. Questioned concerning rumours that Britain and France are finding difficulty in raising funds for procuring military supplies in the United States, the Secretary of the Treasury, Mr Henry Morgenthau, stated that Britain and France have available sufficient dollars not only to pay for the aeroplanes and engines at present ordered, but also for the proposed bil-lion-dollar Allied purchasing programme.
