SOLWAY OLD GIRLS
WAIRARAPA BRANCH ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Wairarapa Branch of the Solway Old Girls' Association was held at the home of Miss Nora Ractliffe, York Street, on Saturday afternoon. In spite of the inclemency of the weather the grounds and gardens were looking particularly attractive. I The report on the year’s activities and the statement of accounts which was presented showed that the branch had enjoyed a most successful and progressive year. Questions of policy for the coming year were discussed at length. On behalf of the branch the president extended a very warm welcome to all new members. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted in the re-election of Mrs Eric Shaw as president and Mrs A. Southey and Miss A. Tregurtha as joint secretaries. After afternoon tea a competition was won by Mavis Tildesley. Arrangements are well in hand for Iho Fourth Annual Ball, which is to be held early in the season. Old Girls wishing to be presented as debutantes are requested to get in touch with the secretaries as early as possible.
