The members of the Featherston Croquet Club recently met to say farewell to their secretary, Mrs Thomson, who has left to take up her residence in Shannon. Mrs Saunders, president of the club, thanked Mrs Thomson for her services as secretary, and wished her every success and happiness in her new home. She asked her to accept a gift of three Royal Doulton cups and saucers from the members. Mrs Wakely also said a few words on behalf of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union.
