LIGHT COLOURED COAT

A CLEANING HINT. To clean a light-coloured coat, mix together whiting and fine oatmeal in equal parts, and rub this into the cloth with a piece of white flannel. Turn the flannel to a fresh place as soon as it is soiled. Leave on for a time. then, after shaking out as much powder as possible, finish by brushing with a clean brush. For a cream coat, use ground rice; for a dark tweed hot fig dust, or hot bran.
