CRICKET

THE OLD TIMERS’ MATCH. Good practices have been put in by “Old Timers” at the Masterton Park during the week, and the North Wairarapa teams should be strong ones, as they will include, among other wellknown players. J. Hornabrook and F. Ashworth, of Castlepoint, a prominent member of the Nomads’ team and a good wicket-keeper. The South Wairarapa teams will be strong combinations, and as a result interesting games should be witnessed on the Park on Tuesday, March 12. As the North Wairarapa selector (Mr B. Iveson) will be absent from Masterton next week, any information concerning the North team or players desirous of participating, etc., may be obtained from Mr J. Renner ('phone 1386).
