TRANSMISSION LINES
OWNERSHIP AND MAINTENANCE. RESOLUTION TO COME BEFORE POWER BOARD. At the last meeting of the Wairarapa Electric Power Board, Mr F. C. Daniell gave notice of his intention to move at the next meeting of the board, the following resolution:— ' “The Wairarapa Electric Power Board will accept ownership and future maintenance of transmission lines erected by consumers without cost to the board, subject to the’following conditions: — (a) That route, material and workmanship shall be approved by the Public Works Department. (b) That the number of consumerper route mile shall average not lese than two on. any .given district line. Memo: The average consumers per route mile for 1529 consumers now on the board's lines is 2.79 for the thre'z. counties of Featherston, Wairarapa South and Masterton. (c) That all such transmission lines shall be outside of the five boroughs in the board's area. Cd) That transformers and similar equipment will be supplied by the Board. “When the foregoing conditions are fulfilled, consumers shall be charged the board’s usual tariff.”
