WIRE-RANGE ACTIVITIES REPORTED. BRITISH BOMBER SHOT DOWN. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 9.20 a.m.) BERLIN. February 23. A communique states that tlie Air Force carried out large scale reconnaissance flights over Ihe North .Sea, the British Isles and Eastern France. Two German planes have not returned from Britain. Three British planes readied the Heligoland Bight. One Vickers-Well-ington was shot down by a Messerschmitt. There is more intensive activity on the Western Front in advanced zones between the Moselle and Hie Palatinate Forest. We took several prisoners. There were po German losses.
