WESTERN FRONT

ALL-ROUND INCREASE IN ACTIVITY. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. LONDON. February 22. On the Western Front, artillery and aircraft on both sides have been more active, according to tonight’s French communique. German raids on a French outpost east of the Moselle were driven back after they had approached rear enough to throw hand grenades and sticks of dynamite. The French occupied three houses on the outskirts of a village, and one house was set on fire. A spell of sunshine has led to many patrols being sent out by both sides.
