ANGER IN SWEDEN
THE BOMBING OF PAJALA FIRING ON FOREIGN PLANES ORDERED. STOCKHOLM PAPER’S POINTED COMMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, February 22. As a result of yesterday’s bombing of the town of Pajala by Russian planes, it is announced that Swedish anti-aircraft batteries have been ordered to fire on all foreign planes which cross the frontier, Daventry reports. The Swedish Press today expresses indignation at the bombing of Pajala, and it is stated that never before has Sweden been the subject of such a serious violation of her neutrality.A Stockholm newspaper says that Sweden still wants peace, as does the whole of Scandinavia. “However, it is certainly growing dark up here, and perhaps all neutrals will have to make serious decisions in the near future,” the paper states.
