INTERHOUSE GIRLS
AN EXCELLENT CHOIR. CONDUCTOR WELL PLEASED WITH TALENT. The Inter-House girls’ choir held its opening practice in the Y.M.C.A. Hall last night. Forty girls were present and showed great enthusiasm. The conductor, Mrs Miller Hope, expressed Jierself as being more than pleased with the talent shown by the girls. They gave every promise of being an. excellent choir. In commenting on the accompaniste, Mrs Miller Hope stated that the girls were singularly fortunate in having the services of such an outstanding pianiste as Mrs J. R. Dickson. It was explained that although the choir is called an Interhouse one, this does not mean that it is confined to members of interhouse teams alone, as any girl employed in a business house in the Wairarapa, is eligible to take part. Still more recruits were required. The next practice will be held in the Y.M.C.A. Hall at 7 o’clock on Tuesday. The Interhouse girls’ teams will hold a practice in the Municipal Hall at 6.30 o’clock tonight. Miss Thompson will be in attendance.
