’ INCOME TAX RELIEF SUGGESTED. PAHIATUA RESOLUTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PAHIATUA, February 19. An opinion that the Government should give donors some relief by allowing as a deduction against assessable incomb money donated to patriotic purposes was expressed by the Mayor, Mr S. K. Siddells, at a public meeting held to discuss the raising of funds for patriotic purposes. A resolution to this effect was passed. Moving the resolution, lhe Mayor said the prevailing heavy taxation must have some effect .on. donations.
