Assor-ini mn opened al llm Solway Showgrounds ioday. The sale commenced with offering of flock Lincoln rams and continued with flock Romneys, concluding with stud rams of these two breeds. There was a large attendance of buyers from far and near. Today s;fl lots are catalogued for submission al auction. The fail' will be concluded tomorrow when Soul lidowns will be offered. There was little inquiry .for flock Lincolns and passings were frequent. After opening with a lifeless tone, the sale for flock Romneys improved considerably as the morning progressed, and animated competition resulted for most pens. Studs were offered at 1 p.m., when Romneys were put up, the highest price being. 32gns. paid by A. and J. Gray I for mi animal sold on account of L. N. Hoggard.
