PRE-WEDDING PARTY MISS RONALDS GUEST OF HONOUR. ("Times-Age" Special.) On Saturday afternoon the ladies of Tablelands tendered Miss C. Ronalds a “gift afternoon” in honour of her approaching marriage to Mr W. Smith. A very pleasant lime was spent by the many friends present. Mrs T. Boyd sang and Miss Ola Nicol played, both items being greatly appreciated. Following afternoon tea Miss Ronalds opened the parcels, receiving many useful gifts. Personal Items. Mr C. Sutherland, of the Bluff, is spending a fortnight with his aunt. Mrs A. Aitchison. Mr A. Aitchison Junr., left on Saturday afternoon to report for duty at Fort Dorset. On severing his connection with the firm of Pain and Kershaw. Mr Aitchison was presented by Mr Cochrane, on behalf of the staff, with a leather wallet containing a substantial sum. Mr Aitchison suitably replied. Miss A. McKay has left for a fortnight’s holiday which she is spendinx in Wellington. Mr and Mrs Howard Miles, of Wanganui, are the guests of Mr and Mrs A. Aitchison.
