CHURCH SERVICES
The Rev. David McNeur will conduct the services at the Lansdowne Presbyterian Church tomorrow at 11 . a.m. and 7 p.m., at Mauriceville West at 1.30 p.m., and Eketahuna at 3 p.m. At Lansdowne in the morning a rededication service will be held. At the Gospel Hall tomorrow night the interesting chart lectures will be continued when the subject will be the creation of man; God’s plans and purposes for him.” An invitation is extended to those interested to attend. Tomorrow will be observed as a special day of prayer for God’s guidance in this time of war, and at St Matthew’s Church the Archdeacon will preach in the morning, and the Rev Hepa Taepa in the evening. The Rev T. V. Pearson will preach at Kuripuni at 7 p.m., and the Rev V. W. Joblin at Upper Plain, at 7 p.m. All Sunday schools will resume at the usual hours. The speaker at both Church of Christ services tomorrow will be Mr W. J. Lowe, and an invitation is extended to those intending to hear this well-known preacher. The services at the Salvation Army tomorrow will be conducted by Major and Mrs Mahaffie. At the morning service the major will continue his series of addresses on “Victorious Living.” At the evening service the subject will be “Satan’s Masterpiece.” All are heartily invited to the Army’s services. The services at Knox Church tomorrow will be conducted by the Rev. John Davie, who will also preach at Tinui at 1.30 p.m., and Langdale at 3 p.m. Mr D. S. Chalmers will take the services at Kaituna al 2 p.m. At the Masterton Methodist Church tomorrow the morning service will be conducted by the Rev Fred. J. Parker, the subject being “Life’s Omissions.” At the evening service Mr C. R. Goudge will speak on the subject, “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.” The Sunday school and Bible classes resume their sessions tomorrow morning. At the Kuripuni Methodist Church tomorrow a service will be held in the evening at 7 o’clock, when the preacher will be the Rev. Fred. J. Parker, with a sacrament service following. At Rangitumau, at 2 p.m. tomorrow, the Rev. Fred. J. Parker will conduct the Methodist service. The services to be conducted by Mr A. E. Lonsdale at the Y.M.C.A. in connection with the Masterton Baptist Fellowship tomorrow, subjects for which are published in the church notice column, should prove most interesting. A cordial invitation is extended to the public to attend the Bible study class and church services, while children not attending any other Sunday school will be heartily welcomed to the Sunday school service to be held at 10 a.m.
