CRIPPLED CHILDREN
WAIRARAPA BRANCH. BOYS RESUME STUDIES. At the last meeting of the executive of the Wairarapa branch of the Crippled Children Society, a numb'er of letters were received from crippled children acknowledging Christmas gifts and reciprocating wishes for the New Year. It was reported that two boys had resumed studies at College. School reports for last year indicated that both were working hard and making progress in various subjects. A young baby whose lip had been operated on was reported to be progressing very well and as the lip had healed satisfactorily there was little trace of the disability. The following donations are acknowledged with thanks: Masterton Rotary Club, £3 35.; Trust Lands Trust, £25.
Sister M. T. Stewart, a member of the executive, left New Zealand with the First Echelon of the N.Z.E.F. for nursing duties. The secretary’s action in sending her a farewell message was confirmed.
