Replying in the House of Commons to allegations that the uncontrolled prices of yarns and cloths were 60 to 100 per cent above pre-war. although the controlled price of wool was only 20 per cent higher, the Minister of « Supply, Mr E. L. Burgin, said: “I am not prepared to extend the control of wool prices. Any action necessary regarding the prices of yarns and fabrics should be taken under legislation concerning the prices of goods in general.
