GUARANTEE BY GOVERNMENT. POOLING OF FINANCES. Bj- Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Dav. 11.20 a.m.) LONDON. February 7. It was announced in the House of Commons that the Government and the four mail railways and the London Passenger Transport Board had reached an agreement whereby the railways receipts and expenses would be pooled. The railways would be paid annual sums equivalent to the average of their net revenue for 1935-36-37, the Government guaranteeing payment of these sums, amounting to approximately £40,000.000.
