DAY OF INTERCESSION

SUBSTITUTED FOR CENTENNIAL THANKSGIVING.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, February 5.

In a pastoral letter, the Bishop of Wellington, the Rt Rev H. St Barbe Holland announces the postponement of the centennial thanksgiving day for the Wellington Diocese on February 11 and the substitution of a day of intercession on that date for help in time of war.

The Bishop said half of the men in the New Zealand forces belonged to the Anglican Church, and the Wellington Diocese had begun the erection of a church hut at Trentham. costing over £2OOO. half of which sum is already available.
