Heavy rain throughout the morning spoilt the second and concluding day of the Wanganui Jockey Club’s autumn meeting on Saturday, for while it cleared before the first race and was afterward fine except for a couple of early showers, it had prevented the district people from setting out for the course. The attendance was badly affected, and with some small fields also a contributing factor, the totalisator investments again'slumped. The total for the day was £12,304 10s. compared with £26,158, a decrease of £13.853 10s. The total for the meeting was £22,851 10s, against £44,424. a decrease of £21,572 10s.
