COOPERATION BETWEEN BRITAIN & FRANCE MISSION VISITING LONDON. LIAISON OFFICER APPOINTED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Dav, 10.12 a.m). RUGBY. February 2. As a preliminary to closer co-opera-tion of British and French scientists on problems connected with the war, a French scientific mission has spent the past week in Britain, making a survey of such problems and facilities. The Ministry of Supply has announced that the Earl of Suffolk has been appointed liaison officer in Paris between the Director of Scientific Research in Britain and the French scientists. Professor Langevin, a member of the French mission, said today that he hoped that the co-operation now being established would outlast the war.
