WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION. TRIAL GAMES ON SATURDAY. The following are the senior teams to take part in the trial game in the Masterton Park on Saturday:—A team: D. Groves. B. Patrick, R. Hendry. W. Peterson. G. Peterson, G. Lambourne. I. Coleman, C. Reid, C. Roys. D. Hibbs. I. Upston. B team: W. Whiteman, R. Clarke, R. Brice, V. Greer, H. Preston, B. Jenkins, J. Miller, C. Whitburn, F. Hoar, N. Hoar. G. Barr. Reserves: J. Renner. A. Bell. N. Jones. The referees in the senior match will be Messrs A. Styles and J. Coleman. In the junior trial game at the Masterton Park the teams will be as follow: —A team: Thompson, Sturgeon, Harp. Payne, Berry (Old Boys), Parsonson, Charles, Donnelly, Corlet (captain), Henson. Cairns; 12th man, Keane. B team: Berry (Odd Fellows) captain. Patrick, Brice, D. Minifie, McGill, Todd. C. Minifie. Youens. Hayes, Peers, Mooney; 12th man. W. Orsborn. MEETING OF COMMITTEE. REPRESENTATIVE FIXTURES. At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Wairarapa Cricket Association the secretary was instructed to write to the Hawke's Bay Cricket Association and suggest that Wairarapa send a senior team to Napier to play a game on February 17 and 19, provided the necessary transport can be arranged.
It was decided to write to the Wellington Mercantile Cricket League accepting the invitation to play a match at Wellington on Easter Saturday and Monday. March 23 and 25. The secretary was requested to endeavour to arrange a junior game with Bush at a convenient date. Mr F. Dohnt is to be asked to arrange an old timers’ match at a suitable date. It was decided that the senior championship competition recommence on Saturday, February 10.
