FEDERAL CABINET SUSPENDS SCHEME.

SYDNEY, January 31

As the result of strong opposition and possible political repercussions the Federal Cabinet at a sitting in Sydneydecided to suspend for the present its agreement with Australian Consolidated Industries for the manufacture of motor-cars in Australia. The Government will formally submit the plan it had in mind to Parliament, which is expected to reject, it. The Country Party hotly opposed the idea of building motor-cars.
