GERMAN BOMBAST
SPEECH BY HERR HITLER
ENGLAND AND FRANCE WANTED WAR.
ITALY STILL A CLOSE FRIEND OF NAZIS.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received This Dav. I p.m.) BERLIN. January 30.
“England and France started the war and I can only say to them that they will get all the war they want," declared Herr Hitler, amid frantic cheering in a speech at the Sportspalast, which was broadcast throughout Germany. He added: “They wanted war last year and did not want an understanding. The first phase of this struggle was political. Germany for years pursued a common policy with Italy and this has not changed. Italy and Germany are still close friends, with common interests. Last year I attempted to fortstall British attempts to start a world war. The Biblereading Chamberlain attempted to reach an agreement with the atheist Stalin. I understand why Mr Chamberlain is angry that I succeeded where he failed.”
