HEAVY LOSS FROM BUSH FIRES.
THOUSANDS OF SHEEP DESTROYED
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 11.20 a.m.) SYDNEY. This Day. A total of 66 are dead as a result of the heat, including 52 in Queensland. Losses from bush fires in Hie Yass district alone are estimated at £120,000. Nearly 15.000 sheep were destroyed. 5000 of them on one property.
