CONSULTATION BETWEEN ALLIES (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. January 29. The Ministry of Shipping announces that Sir John Gilmour. Minister of Shipping, recently received a visit from M. A. Rio. French Minister of Mercantile Marine. The consultations which, ensued were also attended by Sir Cyril Hurcomb. chairman of the AngloFrench Permanent Executive Committee for Shipping, and by M. Hypolite Wormshead. of the French delegation to the committee. These conversations have resulted in the exploration in a spirit, of mutual understanding of.various problems now presenting themselves in connection with maritime co-operation between the two countries.
