At the Pahiatua Racing Club’s meeting on Saturday Gay Mimic repeated her Cup success of the first day by winning the principal event after a spectacular finisn. Dainty Sheila, by winning the Champion Hack Handicap scored a double at the meeting, while Miss Leighon accomplished the same feat when she won the Trial Plate, and Solaria likewise when he accounted for the Newmarket Handicap. At the Auckland Racing Club’s meeting Our Jean won the Takapuna Cup after a thrilling finish, and Brazilian brought about a surprise when he scored in the Zealandia Handicap.
