WAR ECONOMY. CALL FOR MORE RESTRICTIONS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day. 11.5 a.m.) RUGBY. January 25. In a speech to constituents, the Air Under-Secretary. Captain H. H. Balfour, expressed the opinion that the progress of the war would call for an increase in controls and restrictions to ensure that expenditure and consumption were directed in a manner most favourable to war economy. Speaking of the aim of destroying Nazism. Captain Balfour said: "I believe so long as the German people allow themselves to be dominated and ruled by the present leaders, then so long must we held the German people to their share of responsibility for the war. So long as this continues we must fight for peace, which is going to prevent those two German characteristics —bullying domination or supine weakness —from being allowed to threaten world peace in future,"
