STOPPING OF ASAMA MARU
CAPTAIN RETIRED. RESTRICTION ON CARRYING OF GERMANS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON. January 25. A message from Tokio states that the Nippon Yuscn Kaisha Line has retired Captain Yoshisada Watanabe, master of the Asama Marti, on the ground of misconduct in connection with the stopping of the liner. The action is not explained further. A San Francisco report says that officials of the Nippon Yusen Kaisha Line announced that no more Germans subject to military duty will be accepted as passengers.
