WEDDING
DUCKWORTH—B LANE. The Kuripuni Methodist Church was the scene of a pretty wedding on Saturday last when Marjorie, second daughter of Mrs and the late Mr G. Blane, Vivian Street, Masterton, was married to James, younger son of Mr and Mrs H. Duckworth, Renall Street. Masterton. The Rev F. J. Parker was the officiating minister. The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Mr C. G. Blane, of Waipawa, was attired in a frock of rich oyster satin, worn with a beautiful tulle veil kindly lent by a friend of the bride. The bride was attended by her sister, Mona, who was dressed in a frock of pink lace over satin with coatee to match.
The bouquets carried by the bride and bridesmaid were made and presented by Mrs E. Jones.
The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Cliff Archer, of Carterton. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a silver horse shoe by Joyce Duckworth, niece of the bridegroom. A reception was afterwards held in the Social Hall. When Mr and Mrs Duckworth left later for the south the bride travelled in a green frock with rust coat and accessories to tone. Their future home will be in Masterton.
