MASTERTON DISTRICT DISPLAY. AT CENTENNIAL SHOW. Full support was forthcoming, at a meeting held last night, for a proposal to have a Masterton district display at the National Centennial Flower Show, to be held at the Exhibition on January 30 and 31. Those attending last night's meeting included representatives of the Masterton Beautifying Society. Borough Council, Horticultural Society and nurserymep, all of whom gave assurances of the fullest support • towards staging a display worthy of the town and district. A committee was set up to attend to the local arrangements for the collection and despatch of the exhibits. Amateur gardeners who possess any flower (including pot plants) or fruit of outstanding merit, are asked to communicate with Mr H. L Esau as soon as possible, so that arrangements can be made to collect the exhibits on January 29. Exhibits will be returned to the owners, free of any charge.
