A communique repeats the claim that the defence forces shot down three British bombers in the Heligoland Bight on January 10 and says a fourth was badly damaged. One German machine crashed. The official news agency says a French company, backed by heavy fire, broke through the German lines east of Forbach. The Germans counterattacked, forcing back the French and killing and taking several prisoners.
