ROUND PLAY IN PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP LAST YEAR’S WINNERS FAIL TO QUALIFY. CENTENNIAL GATHERING. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. After rain overnight greens were slow when play in the New Zealand centennial bowling tournament was resumed in Wellington yesterday. A strong northerly wind, which prevailed throughout the day, dried them out rapidly, but it made accurate play difficult.
