SNOWS VANISHING

4 MORE ACTIVITY ON WEST FRONT. ARTILLERY AND PATROL OPERATIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 1.5 p.m.) PARIS, January 10. The snows have almost disappeared from the Western Front. The French artillery hammered Schneeberg and there was great aerial activity. Antiaircraft guns fired on German planes flying over the lines. The thunder of guns in the Saar was achoed along the Moselle. A night communique reports artillery action and recconnaissance operations on both sides east and west of the Moselle. The official French radio says German patrol raids between the Moselle, Saar and Vosges were repulsed. German skirmishers clashed with French similarly engaged. The German losses were costly.
