PLANES SIGHTED
OVER THAMES ESTUARY. NOT CAUGHT BY BRITISH MACHINES. (Received This Day, 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, January 10. Unidentified planes were sighted over the Thames Estuary. Fighters went up but returned after half an hour. Anti-aircraft guns were heard, but this may have been a routine test. It is understood that the fighters did not make contact with any enemy planes.
