MAURICEVILLE
ANNUAL SPORTS I PROCEEDS FOR PATRIOTIC FUND. — ("Times-Age” Special.) A decision to make this year’s meeting of the Mauriceville Sports Club to be held on March 2. a Centennial gathering and to donate the proceeds to the Provincial Patriotic Fund was made at the annual meeting held last night. The president, Mr D. Bennett, presided over a large attendance of members. Last year's officers were re-elected, with the exception that Mi- J. Bennett replaced Mr D. Cameron as secretary. I Mr Cameron was thanked for his serivices during the past five years. ' A credit balance of £6 15s was
shown for last year's meeting. Full consideration was given to the programme, which includes horse, athletic and Highland dancing events, besides competitions in the way of pillow fights, chain step and weight, judging. Judges were appointed as follow. Horse events. Mr R. McKinstry; athletic events, Messrs J. McKenzie. J. V. Dolan. J. L. Heckler and A. Donald. Members were most enthusiastic as to the prospects of the coming meeting being a most successful one in every way. Personal Items. Mr W. Baine. Wellington, has been visiting his son. Mr J. Baine. Mauriceville. Mrs W. Roigard and family are spending a few days at Lake Ferry.
