Temperatures: Absolute shade maximum, 84.5 degrees on 23rd (80.1); absolute shade minimum, 37.2 degrees on 9th (34.5). Thus the range was 47.3 (45.6). Mean temperature for the month, 62,5 (57.6). Absolute grass minimum, 26.1 on 9th (25.5); average grass minimum, 42.3 (39.4); average at one foot underground, 65 (61.9). Severest frost, 4.3 on night of 9th (4.9). Days of frost (grass minimum 30.4 fahr. or lower), 3 (3); of shade temperature below 32 degrees fahr., 0 (0); of gale, 6 (10). Total rainfall. 3.06 inches on 9 days (4.61); greatest fall, 137 points on 10th (172).
