The death is reported of Mr Francis Giles Hilton, of Wanganui. Mr Hilton was in business in Marlon for 28 years. During that time he look an active interest in the affairs of that town, serving for a long term as a borough councillor. He also took an active interest in the Presbyterian Church in Marton, occupying the office of elder. He retired from business 19 years ago and went to Wanganui to live. Mr Hilton was also a Past Master of Lodge Ruapehu. Marton, and a life member. At the time of his death he was a member of Lodge Wanganui. N.Z.C.. and the Wanganui Royal Arch Chapter. Mr Hilton leaves a widow and two daughters. Miss Beatrice Hilton. Wanganui, and Mrs H T. Guthrie. Palmerston North.
