SWIMMING CLUB SUCCESSFUL DANCE. ('‘Times-Age" Special.) ? The Featherston Swimming Club ■ hold a very successful dance id the ) Anzac Hall on Monday night, when • there was a large attendance. Mr J. ’ Saba carried out the duties of M.C., 1 and the music was supplied by Te ' Tau’s orchestra. The supper arrange- > ments were in the hands of a committee of ladies. VITAL STATISTICS REGISTRATIONS FOR DECEMBER. During December four births, one marriage and three deaths were registered in Featherston. The total number for the year was Births 50 (35 in 1938), marriages 12 (20).-. and deaths 18 (14). RAINFALL FIGURES DECREASE DURING YEAR. There were nine days with rain in Featherston, during December, the total fall being 5.79 inches, and the maximum 2.01 inches on December 12. In December, 1938, there were 22 wet days, the rainfall being 6.40 inches. During the year 48.10 inches of rain fell, there being 167 wet days. The heaviest fall was 11.33 inches in July, when there were 30 wet days. In 1938 60.45 inches were registered, with rain on 198 days.
